Just cuckoo? Get out of the way: in Lebanon, the Moghrabieh likes to have a party! An iconic setting of South cuisine, this gourmet little grain is traditionally on the menu of Sunday family meetings and all the great occasions.

Made from whole wheat, water and salt semolina, moghrabieh is shaped into slightly denser and fleshy beads than ordinary semolina. Accompanied to the perfection of meat and fish, it replaces perfectly with rice or pasta with its soft flavor, while giving a touch to classic Western dishes.

Our moghrabieh beads are produced ethically by a women’s cooperative located in the rural village of Zahlé, in the Bekaa region.
