This ex-voto is hand-made and painted in Mexico, in accordance with the ancestral techniques of repelled metal, typical of the country's craftsmanship.

A symbol of Mexican culture, the ex-voto is traditionally an offering made to a divinity in support of a request formulated or as a sign of recognition for a vow.

Today, it is no longer confined to this strictly religious field and has acquired a true notoriety in popular art as in decoration, for its colorful, original and very aesthetic side.

These objects can clothe all kinds of appearances: personal effects, paintings, plaques, engravings, wax sculptures, sacred hearts, crosses, rosaries or as here as a small altar of prayer to the Virgin.
