Handmade sculpture Togo, this wooden doll is directly inspired by the plastic doll Clonette, first doll to have been manufactured industrially in Africa in the 1960s, by a factory in Ghana held by Indians.
Originally called "Auntie deidei", an expression that means "the first born", heavy in a matriarchal society like Ghana, it is first sold in West Africa.
Renamed later"Clonette", in reference to its massive production, it finally exports all over the world and becomes a real object of collection and decoration!
This wooden design is a unique piece with a certain humanity that does not have those made industrially.
